The Sporting Life

Last night I was lucky enough to see one of my favorite bands – The Decemberists. I just wrote a brief review but accidentally deleted it… suffice it to say that they most certainly did not disappoint! One of the best concerts I’ve been to in recent memory. Between the infectious accordion & fiddle and the alcohol, I felt like I was party of gypsy camp. A recording of their live performance last week can be found here. To keep the post somewhat relevant to architecture/urbanism – click here for lead singer Colin Meloy’s reflections on Los Angeles. (for a limited time)

  1. I was at that concert last night, too! I’ve let myself fall into a full-blown love affair with the Decemberists now. I like that they look like a bunch of history professors that decided to start a band.
