Some photos from this weekend’s rally. These are all from the beginning and end of Sunday’s race around town. After 5 clues, 5 checkpoints, and 3 hours of riding, I’d seen more of the city in a day than I had in a month. The race was an incredible finale to a weekend that started with a terrifyingly exciting ride through winding roads of fog so thick and opaque, it looked like we were riding through pearl canyons. My transmission is a little wack, and for a few tensely reflective minutes, I was convinced I might just die, or at least fall and break something. Nonetheless! replacing my car with a scooter was on of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only is it a fun, affordable way to get around town, but it’s given me a completely new, much more visceral way to experience the city.
