Architectural Illustration: Heavy Water

While browsing through Fecal Face, I found a link to New York-based artist Scott Teplin. Using an illustration style that reminds me of something between a comic and a children’s book – and I mean that in a good way – Teplin’s “Heavy Water” series was inspired by a hezbollah military strategy that called for the placement of missile launchers in private suburban homes. His work “expresses ironically the violence and disorder of our intimate spaces,” and thus, as we see in the below images, missile silos sit next to unmade beds and curtains decorate a military command center.

A lot more images can be found on his site, Teplin.com Take some time to check out his work.
